The Rogue Audio Perseus (formerly known as Perseus Magnum) is a high-end integrated amplifier that combines the best of both worlds - the warmth and richness of tubes and the clean and detailed sound of solid-state technology.The Perseus Magnum uses a consistent output signal from a parallel triode and dual triode configuration VFC (Vacuum Fluorescent Control) tube preamplifier, followed by seven 6FQ6 or 6FQ7 (EL34 equivalent) tubes used in combined cathode biased pentode and ultralinear topologies for each of its four channels. These tubes provide a full, powerful, and dramatic sound signature.The amplifier features custom-made, oversized toroidal transformers for a low-noise, wide-bandwidth performance, with an output capacity of up to 200W per channel into 8 ohms. It also includes a fully discrete, voltage gain stage, input and driver MOSFETs, and a high-Current, high-Voltage R-Core output transformer.The Perseus Magnum's design philosophy emphasizes purity, clarity, and detail.
