The Zu Audio ZU/DL-103 Grade 2 is a premium loudspeaker driver designed and manufactured by the high-end audio company, Zu Audio. The Grade 2 designation refers to a new iteration of the original Zu Audio ZU/DL-103 driver, which is based on the classic 103-Q woofer developed by János Jánsson, a resident of Budapest, Hungary during the 1970s.The ZU Audio ZU/DL-103 Grade 2 driver features a proprietary vibration-damping compound formulation created by Zu Audio's chief engineer, Seb Jenkins. This new formula drastically reduces unwanted mechanical resonances and allows the driver to deliver greater clarity, detail, and low-level resolution compared to the original ZU/DL-103.The ZU Audio ZU/DL-103 Grade 2 driver also features an optimized pole piece and cone geometry. The pole piece has been redesigned to reduce high-frequency cancellation and enhances the driver's ability to track complex musical signals accurately.
