Brand: AWA

The AWA ST40B is a discontinued model of Single Side Band (SSB) transceiver produced by the Australian Wireless Administration (AWA) in the 1960s. As an SSB transceiver, it was designed for shortwave communication in which an RF carrier is modulated, such that the amplitude of the signal varies in direct proportion to the modulating audio signal. The ST40B was known for its high performance and popularity among ham radio operators and shortwave listeners during its time. However, it is no longer in production.
